Our beginning
Two friends.
One familiar frustration.
Nanobag began with two friends, Ursus Negenborn and Rune Kippervik, and a familiar frustration: reusable bags were useful, but often too bulky to keep with you. Their goal was to create the ultimate reusable bag, one that would be easy to carry at all times.
That idea became Nanobag. In 2017, we launched our first campaign on Kickstarter. Since then, the range has grown to include totes, slings, and backpacks, all built around the same principle: give people plenty of carrying space without adding unnecessary weight or bulk.

At Nanobag we obsess over the details that make a bag feel effortless: silky soft diamond ripstop fabric, reinforced stitching, comfortable straps, fabric that practically vanishes in your pocket and a pouch that packs down in seconds.
0.05mm
Remarkably thin. Surprisingly capable.
The difference starts with the fabric. Our ultralight nylon is soft and remarkably thin, just 0.05mm thick, or around half the width of a human hair. This means air pockets are effectively eliminated, and it allows a full-size bag to pack down into a tiny attached pouch in seconds. You can even tuck the unfolded bag straight into your pocket without using the pouch.
Either way it’ll take up minimal space. There’s no folding sequence to remember. Just stuff it in and get on with your day.
